Monitoring, preserving, and restoring the planet is not just an option; it's an urgent necessity. With ecosystems under strain and climate impacts intensifying, these actions are vital to maintain the planet's health, safeguard biodiversity, and ensure a sustainable future for all. The pressing need for sustainable actions is paramount, requiring immediate efforts to curb environmental decline and pave the way for a thriving and resilient planet. Our workshop aims to explore the intersection of robotics and sustainability, focusing on the innovative ways in which robotics technology can contribute to addressing environmental challenges and promoting sustainable practices. We propose to organize a workshop that not only presents the latest advancements in robotics for sustainable actions. Indeed, we aim to develop action plans via brainstorming sessions in cooperation with environmental scientists to further broaden ideas for novel solutions and to ensure that robotic systems can be used and designed in an eco-friendly manner. This workshop is a grassroots effort led by PhD students to inject change in the development of green robotic systems.
